"Midnight Messiah" from our upcoming album Parasomnia is out now! Pre-order Parasomnia here: https://dream-theater.lnk.to/ParasomniaAlbum “It was great writing lyrics again and contributing this chapter to the Parasomnia story. DT fans may get a kick out of discovering some of the hidden nuggets I planted in the song referencing many of my past DT lyrics… and the music video is a great representation of the excitement of the first two tour legs we recently completed throughout Europe and South America. Just in time to prepare for our next leg throughout North America which we are so excited to embark on” - Mike Portnoy Video edited by Mike Leonard Footage shot by Wolfe Eliot & Paul Green Productions Lyrics: Lost time Thought I lost my mind How the hell did I end up here? Rewind Help to remind The last thing I can remember Dreamtime Floating cloud nine Heavenly bliss utopia Sublime Feeling so divine Just another pleasant nightmare In my dreams There’s a song I once knew Like an uncanny Strange Déjà vu Memories flashing all through my brain Over and over and over again Midnight messiah Darkness descends Eternally wired The dream never ends Twilight desires Midnight messiah Moon shine Time to come alive No rest for the wicked Downtown Have a look around Feeding the obsession in my head There’s a place that I go Where no one’s afraid It’s a feeling that we all know But everyone’s ashamed to say In my dreams There’s a flame burning bright Constant motion shines into the night Forevermore blistering out of control Over and and over and over it goes Midnight messiah Darkness descends Eternally wired The dream never ends Twilight desires Midnight messiah Back in the Waking Life A Midsummer Night’s Dream I realize I can no longer fly alone Help find my destiny Take me back into the dream For all eternity It’s calling me back to my HOME In my life I’ve lost all self control Like a sword piercing This Dying Soul Breaking and shaking and left in the cold Watch this compulsive obsession unfold Midnight messiah Darkness descends Eternally wired The dream will never end I can’t stand the pressure The daytime collectors I’ll never go back there again Keep those eyes closed You’re now going home Forever alive in your head Twilight eternal Midnight messiah Site: https://www.dreamtheater.net/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dreamtheater Twitter: https://twitter.com/dreamtheaternet Instagram: http://instagram.com/dreamtheaterofficial
